Welcome Autumn

Welcome Fall!!!   Bem vindo Outono!

We had a Fall (Harvest festival dinner) in our church. The dinner was at the civic center. Lots of interesting food. Look at the multi colored jello salad. The peach pie was pretty good too.

Look all the pies at the dessert table. My husband with his back to the camera, visiting!

Our son and husband decided to get a machine that makes pasta with the hope that it can also help them to make homemade crackers. They like whole wheat and out there we can't find a lot of crackers that offer lots of fiber. Everything comes with so many chemicals that one is better off making your own at least part of the time. This one was made in Italy and it's sturdy with a good price. No need to buy a super expensive one when a middle priced one can do the job well.

I canned 19 jars of tomatoes and a few beet pickles and even some salsa!  It will be nice to enjoy those once the garden is done.

Here another photo of the Havest Moon. Outra foto da lua da colheita.

Hugs,

Angela

  1. Wow--I think this is my favorite post yet........ever!!!!

The food at the harvest feast looked awesome--you read my mind on pointing out the multi-colored jell-o salad----it is soooo colorful1

That pasta maker looks mean---I'd love to have some fresh pasta right now. Now I'm really looking forward to all the church fall bazaars. We have 4 different churches in our little town, they all have a huge fall event including morning coffee/bake sale, craft fair and a big thanksgiving meal in the evening---everyone in town goes to each and every one---Love it!!!

    Have a great weekend!

  3. That jello looks so up my alley! I love colorful desserts. Kind of reminds me of one of my favorites, the 7-layer cookie (some people like to call it a rainbow cookie).

  6. That jello certainly brightens up your plate, doesn't it?! Fall has finally arrived here in Boise, too, and I'm loving it. The harvest moon was so gorgeous and welcome. I admire you canning your own vegetables and planning to make crackers. I hope you share a blog post about them if you do. Happy Autumn, Angela!
