Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful and peaceful Christmas. We even got to skype with our daughter and her husband. It has been cruelly cold outside. It's now -12 and we are thankful that -23 went away.
May you and your families have a great new year and may the new year bring peace, prosperity, joy and above all good health!
We usually wait till All Kings Day to remove the Christmas decorations.
Time to be drinking something warm
 Evening aproaching
Cozy up in the sofa and watch Father Brown.

Leaving black eye pea, rice and lentils behind the front door in tiny plates for it brings good luck. I don't believe in good luck then why do I do it? Well...my mother used to do it so the tradition stays with me.
Black eye peas cooking for tonight
Son brought new board games for us to play

Blessings to you and yours this new year!
Hugs,

Angela

  5. OH my goodness, your temperatures are cold!! Brrr. I am wearing gloves in the house and it's only been about 10 degrees here. I don't know how you're not freezing all the time. I hope a little warmth makes it your way! Happy New Year, Angela!

  7. I'm glad I don't live anywhere so cold! I have never heard of a tradition to leave food out on New Year's Eve, was it still there in the morning? Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year. Sarah x

  12. It may be bitterly cold where you are, Angela, but it's clear from your post that you make the most of it. The outdoor evening photos, the candle and hot drink, and the thought of you cozy on the sofa warms my heart. Enjoy this peaceful, quiet season. Hugs.
