It seems to be all about Ellie. will be a whole year before she will be back here again. We loved having her and miss her already.
We visited two different apple orchards in two different states. We love to visit orchards this time of the year. We had great apple dumplings, apple pie and hot apple cider in Iowa.

We went to a craft festival and Ellie was sure she should get a bit of her mom's corn.

I continue to make more of these narrow scarfs for a church project. It seems a bit narrow at 6-7 inches wide but I follow what they told me to do. These are going to a conference in Minneapolis.

The pumpkin patch was lovely. I got a few pumpkins and make roasted pumpkin soup. I have also made pumpkin pie and pumpkin bars.

They had lots of things for kids to do.

I finished the dress but will have to send it via mail.

This has been a very weird Autumn in some ways but the world goes as it must.
Hope you find time to enjoy a cup of something warm in your hands, joy and contentment.

We got a big snow storm on the day of the baptism of our granddaughter. The snow is mostly gone now and the farmers can go back to the fields and finish their harvest. Our daughter has been visiting here for the last 5 weeks. Her husband came on the 8th and we had a fun time with them here. They placed the baby in the snow and took photos. After living in a semi tropical country they missed snow. We did lots of thing together. We went to the pumpkin patch around here and also an apple orchard in Iowa and then Minnesota trip.

That is the small crochet hat I made for her.
The family enjoying some the snow at the neighbors yard.
 The park in our town

It was looking like Fall one day and the next we got the snow storm and the only Fall color leaf is around is sitting behind Ellie. It wasn't terribly cold for an adult but too cold for a baby. She got red nose and purple lips during this outside fun.
We took a trip to Minnesota and there it is still Fall with all the beautiful Fall colors

In Minnesota at a site we went to a wedding reception.
At the wedding reception. My husband did a good job toasting his marshmallows. We all enjoyed making our own s'mores.

She liked the shawl I made

These little libraries are very popular now a days. You take one free book and leave another.

Green Lake! We stayed here during our visit to MN.
May the days have laughter and tranquility for you and yours.

September is here

I can hardly believe that September starts tomorrow! That is how life passes right in front of our eyes. The schools have already started around here and a lot of the wheat has been harvested. We had cooler days however this week we will have days a couple days nice and warm. I just looked and it says it's 78 degrees Fahrenheit (about 25 degrees Celsius) outside but it will gets cool in the evenings.
I don't have a pattern for the little bunny. I made it from my imagination. Embroidered on face since it's for a young child and needs to have no buttons of other removable parts.
Got my order from Alicia Paulson. I really like the lotion bar.

My lantanas did pretty well. Someone said they had it growing like weeds at her place. Well...I wish it was the case here. I had to pay plenty for two plants. Unfortunately it doesn't show that gorgeous shade of peach in photos.
 It is all done!!

I made some chokecherries syrup for pancakes.

Our neighbors have a couple horses in their land now and we can see them from our place. I walked closer to get a photo.
Son is home with us and will stay till he gets the bar exam done and then he will try to get a job somewhere else. Thin plastic as table cover since we will have our grand baby visiting soon and we can count on spills.
Made pesto with our abundance of basil.
Loving these pink hydrangeas in front yard.
 Gifts for granddaughter
Toys now a days are not all that different than the ones from my time. My grandma made some rag doll by hand that were relatively similar to this cat. I love dolls when I was little. What was your favorite toy as a child?

Sometimes life is a bowl full of cherries.
That is what we see when we are heading out of town.

May you have a wonderful September. We plan on a visit to an orchard and a country festival this month. Pumpkin buying and making pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, and many other recipes with pumpkin. Of course there will be lots of soups since we all love soups and "soup season" has started!
May your life have quiet moments, beautiful sunsets and lots of love! May the Lord be with each one of you!
P.S. If you new visiting here please leave a link to your blog or other sites you may have. I would love to visit your site.
