October

We got a big snow storm on the day of the baptism of our granddaughter. The snow is mostly gone now and the farmers can go back to the fields and finish their harvest. Our daughter has been visiting here for the last 5 weeks. Her husband came on the 8th and we had a fun time with them here. They placed the baby in the snow and took photos. After living in a semi tropical country they missed snow. We did lots of thing together. We went to the pumpkin patch around here and also an apple orchard in Iowa and then Minnesota trip.

That is the small crochet hat I made for her.
The family enjoying some the snow at the neighbors yard.
 The park in our town

It was looking like Fall one day and the next we got the snow storm and the only Fall color leaf is around is sitting behind Ellie. It wasn't terribly cold for an adult but too cold for a baby. She got red nose and purple lips during this outside fun.
We took a trip to Minnesota and there it is still Fall with all the beautiful Fall colors

In Minnesota at a site we went to a wedding reception.
At the wedding reception. My husband did a good job toasting his marshmallows. We all enjoyed making our own s'mores.

She liked the shawl I made

These little libraries are very popular now a days. You take one free book and leave another.

Green Lake! We stayed here during our visit to MN.
May the days have laughter and tranquility for you and yours.

    1. Thank you Marie! It indeed awesome having both of them for that long despite the fact that was hard to sleep with a baby that doesn't sleep much. :)

    1. It was a lovely time indeed. The baby will look different the next time she will be in the U.S. again. Yes, that snow fall was incredible, many cars went into the ditch including a school bus. Some kids went to the hospital but they are fine. This is ND so these things can happen.

    1. It has melted which is very nice. We feel sorry for the farmers who were getting a bumper crop and then this happened before they got the crop harvested.

  9. Such wonderful photos, Angela - so nice to spend time with the sweet little family. How precious is that little one? Love the darling hat. The photo of them in the snow looks just like a Christmas card! The shawl you made is pretty and so nice to attend a wedding this time of year. I was married in the fall, too. The snow is so beautiful, but I hope you don't see any more for a while! Hugs xo Karen

  10. My gosh thats a lot of snow. Such pretty pictures of it. Sweet, sweet child with that lil red nose. Such fun you all had.
Such a pretty shawl and perfect for the weather.
My lettuce is coming up so nice in above ground planter and it's getting much chillier here. I will have to cover it along with some other little crops. I bet we get a lot of snow this year also. Love it!
