Nov-2018

It seems to be all about Ellie. Well...it will be a whole year before she will be back here again. We loved having her and miss her already.
We visited two different apple orchards in two different states. We love to visit orchards this time of the year. We had great apple dumplings, apple pie and hot apple cider in Iowa.

We went to a craft festival and Ellie was sure she should get a bit of her mom's corn.

I continue to make more of these narrow scarfs for a church project. It seems a bit narrow at 6-7 inches wide but I follow what they told me to do. These are going to a conference in Minneapolis.

The pumpkin patch was lovely. I got a few pumpkins and make roasted pumpkin soup. I have also made pumpkin pie and pumpkin bars.

They had lots of things for kids to do.

I finished the dress but will have to send it via mail.

This has been a very weird Autumn in some ways but the world goes as it must.
Hope you find time to enjoy a cup of something warm in your hands, joy and contentment.
XOXO,
Angela

  1. Those pumpkins look glorious! Where we live, the only way to get a pumpkin is from the supermarket and they are rather dull, expensive and flavourless. Ellie looks like such a sweetie - you will miss her x

  6. What a dollbaby Ellie is! Such a sweet picture of her reaching for that pumpkin stem and gnawing on that corn, tasted good and sweet. Makes me want an ear with lots of butter now. My heavens, a whole year will seem like forever I am sure. She is most precious! A sweet little dress you made for her.
You have some very nice pictures. The pumpkin field is great.
I do love egg plant. I was told ages ago how to pick them out to ensure they won't be bitter and that is to select the ones that are dimpled in on the bottom. I have been doing that and not had a bitter one since. A lady at a farm told me that ages ago. The way she described it was like a male and female. Well, it's always worked for me picking them this way.
Speaking of something warm in hand, I am having, a cup of coffee with pumpkin spice cream, so good.
Happy Friday Morning and have a great week end,
    betsy
