May 2020

Greetings! Sorry for not being a bit more productive and having a bit more blog posts. Hope you are all doing well. My husband is getting anxious now with this working from home situation despite the fact that he's a natural introvert. I'm an extrovert who is so far doing well with physical distancing. Obviously there is no social distancing since I am here blogging and I use facebook as well however we are doing physical distancing pretty well. We keep busy and hope that time passes fast. Praying and asking the Lord to bless this world we live in.
Alpaca yarn being used up, now I have some time in then evening to work on the blanket.

The first hours of the morning, love to see the sun coming up...full of possibility and hope.

Made from a kit from Alicia Paulson  -   doll kit

I took this photo to show my granddaughter that I made her a doll. I must have lost some of the doll hair or whatever it was but I did not had enough hair but Alicia was wonderful and sent me extra so I could finish it. Thank you Alicia!!!    Doll kit   Alicia Paulson.

Bran Muffins, great to fight constipation. I have been making this recipe since 1982! Recipe bellow.

Key Lime Pie. Recipe from a  small community recipe book in South Dakota.

 Just a simple brownie.

This is on the road going to a town nearby where we go to get groceries, this house has a big problem now and I presume no one is living there at the moment.
This below is the lake close to our house, the road is now passable. We walk for exercise around this lake.
Puschkinia

There used to a road here but now the lake has taken over it.

I watched a crochet video and copied this from them, it's a cute edging so I made a sample.
The other day we had this intense fog, I love fog when I don't have to drive in it. It looks lovely in the quiet park next to our place here.

Free audio books   you can check and see.
May the love of the Lord be with you always!  Blessed are the peace makers for the shall inherit the earth!

Hugs,
Angela

      Recipe for Bran Muffins
1 egg
        1 cup milk
                     3 tab. vegetable oil
                                   1  1/2 cups 100% bran cereal
                 1 cup sifted flour
                                        2  1/2 teaspoons baking powder
      1/2 t. salt
                                  1/4 cup brown sugar packed
Beat together first 3 ingredients. Stir in bran cereal and let stand 5 min. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add bran mixture till just combined, don't over mix. Fill greased muffin pan cups 3/4 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes or till done. This makes 12 muffins. I usually double the recipe.

  1. I've enjoyed seeing the area where you live and the weather conditions during this time. You get a sense of the wide open places of this rural area and the way buildings are set into it. Your blog is well titled. I'm wondering if the bird with the red feathers is a robin as it's different from the British variety which is much smaller and fatter. I can understand why you have not been blogging as you have plenty to keep you occupied. I hope the personal situation improves for you. It's not easy to work from home or stay indoors as required. The Lord bless you and your loved ones.

  5. I also love to see the sun rise! It's wonderful in the morning. You have floods there! Pretty wild. I also have blue pearl lilies, but they are still very small. You already have a good size.
